Flight Safety is the core of the sport of hang gliding and paragliding! Can you or a fellow pilot volunteer for the HPAC/ACVL Safety Committee to give back to the sport that you love?
- The objective of the Committee is a continuous reduction of accidents and incident severity, commensurate with the promotion and growth of hang gliding, paragliding and speed flying activities in Canada, as per SOP 400-3
- Who? The Committee is composed of three members including a Chair, representative of all disciplines (HG,PG,SF), geographic spread from across Canada (including a native French speaker). Currently, the Committee has only one member.
- Time Commitment: approximately 5 hours a month for a two-year period with quarterly virtual meetings and contributions to a bi-annual Safety Advisory to all members
If you would like to contribute but cannot afford the requested commitment, you could still take part in specific projects so the whole community can still benefit from your skills.
Please contact the HPAC/ACVL Office if you would be willing to volunteer for this important Committee.
