I agree with Davey's comment about HG tandems with landing gear - a Remove Before Flight tag isn't needed as the pilot/passenger would end up laying on the ground if you didn't hook in. I'd ask that you include a stipulation in there for LGOs to not require this. |

Hello Mark,
As I am not familiar with this type of tandem operation I don't understand the configuration or procedure. Does the passenger not hold onto the pilot's harness as in foot-launched tandems? Could you explain that for me please?

In theory, I'd almost say holding on is optional (although we demand it for launching and landing) but as you can see, if they aren't hooked in, it'd be obvious. We now use a single, double-decker harness (the passenger is on my back). So it is even more-impossible (is that a word?!) to not hook us in. |
